The Week of December 9, 2013

I'm so excited to share with you what is planned for the second week of December!  It's going to be a busy and fun-filled week at Ellis! Here is what is in store for the week:

In math, we will be looking at solving and graphing equations that include inequalities.  The important thing to keep in mind is that the only thing that is different from the equations we've solved in the past and inequalities, is that inequalities include a greater than, less than, greater than or equal to, or less than or equal to symbol instead of an equals sign.

After we solve inequalities, we will graph them on a number line.  Check out the following resources for more information about solving and graphing inequalities.

You will have homework Monday and Tuesday night to complete about inequalities. You will have a quiz on Thursday and your weekly Compass Learning assignment due Friday.

In science, we will continue to research the distribution of Earth's water.

To prepare for Friday's test, review your vocabulary list and notes you received last week.  Your "Drop in the Bucket" choice sheet is due Friday, as well.

Finally, be looking forward to your field trip to the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum on Friday!  Be sure to bring in your signed permission slip and $5 by Wednesday to attend this awesome trip.  Remember that this trip, as well as all of your other reminders, assignments, and upcoming tests can be found on the classroom calendar.  The calendar button is located at the top of this page.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Mr. Trent
