The Week of August 13th, 2018

It's shaping up to be a GREAT week at Ellis!  I'm so excited to share with you some fun lessons I've been working on and to see what interesting works you create.

Social studies lessons will include using the map cabinets to create political and physical maps of the United States and Europe, as well as taking a look at westward expansion in the United States during the 1800's.  Your vocabulary words for these lessons are as found below.  They can also be found in your google classroom file.  Please copy these words and definitions onto your work plan Monday.  You will have a quiz on these words next Monday, August 20th.

Your language lessons will include working with verb moods, identifying transitive and intransitive verbs, and defining phrases and clauses.  This Friday you will have your weekly word study quiz on the following words.
