We will be taking the last administration of the MAP assessment Monday. Please take your time, try your best, and take advantage of this opportunity to "show what you know".
Your last graded assignment for the year will be a science presentation. Monday, you will choose a random topic in which to create a 3-7 minute presentation for you classmates. All of the topics will be items we've studied this year. Feel free to use any of the resources on the science shelf or in your PIN folders to help you. Presentations will start Monday, May 1. Here is the rubric you will use to plan your presentation:
We have TWO field trips this week! Thursday we will walk along the Savannah River as docents from the Massie Center will share with us the importance of the waterway to our city. We'll end our walk with lunch outside next to the Waving Girl Statue! Friday, we will go to the Civic Center to see a rehearsal of the Savannah Philharmonic. This will be followed by a picnic in Ells Square! Cross your fingers for pleasant weather!
Of course, we will be spending every free second continuing to prepare for Charles Ellis Presents: The Story of Language! This week we will begin creating the costumes, set, and props! Be sure your lines and song lyrics are memorized.
