Welcome to your final week in 6th grade! I can't believe how quickly this year passed. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of every second we have together as a class this week!
The theme for this "practical life"! We will be working together to close our classroom for the summer. In doing so, we not only have the opportunity to practice our cleaning skills, but to also reminisce about what we've studies this year as we pack up the materials. I've found that the cleaning and wrapping of our shelves is a wonderful way to find closure for the year.
In addition, please remember that your final choice sheet, "Sailing into Summer" is due Thursday. It is important for you to complete this activity so you can participate in all the fun associated with the last day of school.
As you are planning the week, please remember that Ellis Has Talent will take place Wednesday afternoon, therefore you will not have an afternoon work period that day.
Parent/teacher conferences will take place Monday through Thursday. You are more than welcome to attend the conference with your parents. I will share with you your term 4 grades, final averages for the year, CRCT & MAP results, and areas of strength/need you've shown throughout the year. We will also talk about things you can do over the summer to start 7th grade on the right foot.
Finally, I'm sorry to say that I will not be at school on Friday. I will be traveling to Pennsylvania for my little brother's high school graduation. I will say my goodbyes to you on Thursday.
Don't forget: Friday is an "Out of Uniform" day!
See you tomorrow morning,
