The Week of May 27, 2013

Happy Memorial Day!  I hope you are enjoying your holiday while remembering all those who have given their lives for our freedom.

Now that our musical is over, we can get back to our regular schedule and daily procedures.  When I see you Tuesday morning, I will give you the following choice sheet (your LAST choice sheet of the year!!!):

Your 6 choices are due by Thursday, June 6.  This sheet serves as a review of many of the topics we've covered this year.  As you are working, I will be asking small groups to help me with some practical life activities to begin "closing" the classroom for the year.

In addition to this, I will be conducting some science mini-lessons from the Project WET curriculum.  These fun lessons will hopefully renew your appreciation for the water we have here on Earth.  Be sure to check out www.discoverwater.org for some follow-up activities on these lessons.

If you've logged onto www.sumdog.com lately, you may have noticed that we started another contest.  The top three students who answer the most questions correctly by Sunday at 6:00 PM will get a prize! Good luck!

Finally, Ms. Carol and I will be sending home final parent-teacher conference request forms.  Please return them ASAP so we can start conferences next week.  At conferences I will share with you and your parents your MAP and CRCT scores!

We have less than two weeks together before the end of the school year!  Let's make the most of it by having fun and learning as much as we can!

See you Tuesday morning,
Mr. Trent
