First, and most importantly, have you wished your mom a Happy Mothers' Day?!
This week is proving to be an exciting one in our classroom. We will change up our schedule a bit so we can spend the entire afternoon in our homerooms preparing for the musical. In the mornings, we your time will be split evenly between Ms. Carol and myself.
During our morning worktime, please make sure you are working to complete your Resources Bingo choice sheet. This will be due Thursday. In addition, don't forget to study for your resources vocabulary quiz that will also take place this Thursday. Throughout the week, I will be having students take the final MAP test for the year. It is very important that you try your best on this computerized test, because I will use it to show your growth this year during the upcoming parent/teacher conferences.
We will be sending progress reports home Monday. Please review, sign, and return them to your homeroom teacher Tuesday. Your progress reports will include your current grades and any missing assignments you may owe this term. This is important to note, because you will not be able to attend Field Day on Friday if all of your work is not complete.
For Field Day, please keep the following items in mind:
- If you have not turned in your permission slip, please do so ASAP.
- Don't forget to pack a lunch. You will be able to purchase a school lunch, if you wish. You will need bottled water.
- Put on sun screen BEFORE you come to school. Pack some more in your bag to reapply throughout the day. A hat may be a good item to pack, too.
- You do NOT need to wear your school uniform, but you must adhere to the "dress down day" dress code policy (no sleeveless shirts, tank tops, etc.) Please wear tennis shoes (no flip flops or sandals). You may not wear swimming attire.
Finally, be sure to congratulate Ms. Carol for being chosen as Charles Ellis' Teacher of the Year!
See you tomorrow morning,
