Hello from the NSTA Conference in Atlanta, GA!
I'm having a wonderful time at the National Science Teachers Association conference! I'm learning so many awesome ways to make science more exciting for you, and I can't wait to return and share them. I've been to workshops about science and technology, earthquakes, volcanoes, and minerals. I also met some people from the Tybee Island Marine Science Center who wish to visit our classroom and do some fun, coastal ecology activities. I even went to a writing course where I tried my hand at creating a diamanté and first/last poem about what we are studying. I picked up a lot of items I'm planning on giving away to some lucky winners when I see you on Monday! I will also introduce you to our new prehistoric classroom pet! Have a great Friday!
